| - | Welcome to Nostalgica! I have tryed to get the feel of games from this great time, hope you like it. And for people that never have visited this site before, this site is about games from the first Computer that made it possible to move the arcade games to our own bedrooms, the Amiga. The Amiga 1000/500, from Commodore, where released in the middle 80's with alot of great features like 4096 colors, 4 channels 8 bit stereo sound, 3.5" 880Kb floppy diskdrive, mouse/joystick, could be plugged into a ordinary TV and did multitask 10 years before Windows 95. At this time does high-end PC's only had 16 colors, "Beep" sound, 5 1/4" 360Kb floppy diskdrive, keybord controll, expesive monitors (couldn't be plugged into a TV, not even today as standard) and all program where for DOS and doesn't multitask. But sadly did Commodore failed in 1994, and there have been a long story since then and it continues even today with new owners, look at http://www.amiga.com.
If you never tried an Amiga game or the AmigaOS, do it - it's nothing like
it, you can use a emulator like UAE, but it couldn't be compared to a real Amiga (Hardware) because not even
the most powerful computer system can't emulate all the Amigas great hardware at full speed,
but it'll give you an idea how it was 5-10 years ago before Pentiums and Windows, and
remeber that the Processor of the original Amiga where 0.xx% as fast as todays Processors.
